2016 Favorite Beauty Products

It’s funny that I was giving tips about time management in one of my previous posts and I am posting my 2016 Favorite Beauty Products in mid February. Yet, here it is! (Better late than never). I hope you’ll enjoy reading this as much as I enjoyed writing it and using these products!

Sephora Smokey Eye Brush Set

Sadly, this brush set is currently out of stock. And I can tell you why. Quality wise these brushes are among the best that I’ve ever used, they’re super soft and do their job amazingly. Packaging and design wise, they’ve aced it as well. Their size is perfect to be carried around easily and they also come with a small pouch. And price wise, they’re really affordable. I really hope they’ll be back in stock, and if you’re lucky enough to spot them, don’t miss the chance to try them out!

Beauty Blender

I don’t know if it’s even necessary to elaborate on this. But if I have to say anything anyway: this makeup sponge that needs to be thrown away and repurchased every month or so, is totally worth my 20 bucks.

Maybelline Lash Sensational Luscious Mascara

I have lots of mixed feelings about this mascara. When I know how to apply it properly, I get tons of compliments on my lashes. They look voluminous, very black, and super long. But when I don’t, my lashes get really clumpy, and I have to remove it, and reapply it all over again. And believe me, there is a very fine line (or mascara coat) between these two stages. The thing is, I’m so grateful for the result accomplished when it works, that I keep on repurchasing it even though it has its flaws. Besides, the more I get used to it, the less frequently it messes up. Bottom line is: I wouldn’t recommend this mascara for you if you don’t like clumpy lashes and tend to go heavy on your mascara, but if you can be satisfied with a coat or so, or if you’re looking for an intense look, this thing is your new best friend.

Bourjois Paris City Radiance

I’m not going to say much about this one because I’ve reviewed it already. You can check its review (along with other Bourjois products) here. But mainly, it was my go to foundation, and I will definitely repurchase it again.

Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Collection Face Palette

I knew I wanted this from the moment it was launched. And I’m so glad that I was able to get my hands on it. Yes, it’s quite pricey. And to be completely honest, I do not use it as frequently as I should. Don’t judge me, but I rarely highlight. Not that I have anything against it, it’s just that I’m often in a rush when doing my makeup and highlighting seems like one of the easily skipped steps. So basically, I might have bought this palette more to look at, than to use. But can you blame me? Seriously, look at it! Yet, I would still pick it over any other product I loved this year, and that’s pretty much why I had to include it in this list.

Milani Illuminating Face Powder – 03 Beauty’s Touch

In my opinion, this is not, at all, an efficient illuminating powder. But, it probably is the best blush you can get for such a price! The formula, the pigmentation, the color, the way it applies, the packaging, and everything about it, is just amazing! I can keep on raving about it for hours, but I guess you got my point. This is a product you can fall in love with. Go get it.

Samoa Purity H2O Micellar Cleansing & Toning Water

Disclaimer: Before making you realize how much you need this product; I think it’s just fair to let you know that it is currently only sold in Lebanon. I know it sucks, and I’m really sorry about that!

Repurchasing a product, over and over and over again, means something right? And that something is that this product is amazing and it just makes my life easier. Let me clarify: this is a very efficient “Cleansing, Soothing, and Toning Makeup remover” that basically contributes the most to my skin care routine. On days when I don’t have any makeup on, I use it as a cleanser/toner because of its non-rinse formula. And on days when I’m less lazy, I use it as a makeup remover before washing my face with a regular cleanser; and after, as a toner. The whole process takes less than 5 minutes.

During the last year I’ve fallen in and out of love with so many products that picking just these seven products was neither easy nor fair. I know that makeup favorites cannot be narrowed down to a few products. But this post (sadly) has to end somewhere! I’d love, however, to hear about products you’ve been loving lately and that you’d like to share with us (also if you have a similar post feel free to share the link in the comment section below)!

Have a nice day! xx
